When in the market for a web designer
Making a decision about which web designer to choose has been a journey with many up and downs. Some designers wanted me to send my work and payments with out every meeting them. I realize this is the age of electronic interfacing but Im old fashion when it comes to investing in something as important as my personal web site. Being able to meet a web designer in person gives me a chance to evaluate them personally. Even at the moment when I did meet some designers it felt as if they would just throw every big word that has to do with web designing at me. Confusing and not interested is the result from that. As a business man myself, I have learned that making things simple and clear is better for the client. With a few months having gone bye and many hours of searching for the right web designer a simple referral from a fellow photographer paid off big. Lindsay Gatz you are my web angel. Agreed to meet in person, made the process simple and most important great customer service. Having the right design to compliment my photo work was of all importance and Lindsay made that happen. I just have a few words of advise when looking for a web designer. Until someone is compliant with your every web design need don't settle. Realize that your site is your identity, it determines how your potential client sees you and ultimately decides if your the right choice.

The business or art
Receiving the gift is merely a step into the artistic lifestyle. Protecting your genius is a reality to which we must all do. Pretend your a beautiful creature of the wild with an array of exotic colors, in your environment you adapt to protect yourself. As an artist there is no difference to the lengths of knowledge that we must obtain which better equipped us to take on infringement. I all to well understand the procrastination of reading as a visional learner. On the other hand I will go to any lengths to protect my work. Taking a trip to Barnes & Nobles or googling the business of your artistic form is as essential as air to breath.
This is not me saying that I have all the answers clearly I don't. Laws change and get created everyday, this is rather my way of reaching out to my fellow artistic minds to share what knowledge you may have which will protect us all from infringement.
NOTES & QUICK TIPS:
Copy right laws are the most important aspect of a photographers work.
Infringed- technical term for stolen work
www.bsa.org/usa/antipiracy
Even if your Cf card is stolen you can sue for infrigment. Secure your file and compare that metadata including the cameras serial number and then sue not just for infrigement in federal court but for theft in of flash card in civil court.
As of 1-16-10 you can not copyright two different photos published at different times
But you can copyright unpublished works across the year.

Opportunity
Opportunity has always been one thing in which I prepare for. In some cases I practice things in which I don't know if I will ever use but I always say better to have it than not have it. Lately I have had the opportunity to meet other talented artist in the industry. Weather its Hiromi Tatsuta of B shoe line from Japan or Matthew Jordan Smith world renown photographer. In these situations I find myself to be amazingly composed but non the less excited to be in the presence of such great artist. These moments come and go so fast, the out come is never know until the end. Did I impress them, was I to straight forward, should I have talked more, so many things run throw my mind. I guess in the end result is that I am Brennen Scott Photographer, a creative mind and soul. I love to life, I see the positive in the situation that I am put in everyday.
